Hasbro and Giant Skull confirmed this week that their publishing agreement for a Dungeons & Dragons video game has been scrapped less than a year after it was unveiled.
The canceled project had paired Hasbro with an independent studio founded by Stig Asmussen, the veteran director behind God of War III and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Giant Skull was created after Asmussen left Electronic Arts in 2023 and brought in several developers who had worked with him on EA's Star Wars games.
The reversal interrupts what had been an early high-profile partnership for Giant Skull as it tries to establish itself in the crowded game-development market.
