Francisco Gonzalez and his daughter Gabriela Gonzalez were charged with conspiracy to commit murder in an alleged plot targeting singer Jack Avery, with Francisco held in Seminole County and Gabriela jailed in Los Angeles.
Investigators say the scheme grew out of a custody fight over Gonzalez’s granddaughter, and Francisco allegedly decided paying for a hit would cost less than continuing the legal battle.
A Seminole County arrest report says the pair arranged for Avery to be struck by a car in Los Angeles, with Francisco allegedly paying another man $10,000 disguised as web development work and using the code word “Bullrun.”
The alleged effort dates back to the pandemic, when a private investigator was hired to follow Avery; Francisco did not contest extradition to California, where prosecutors are expected to take over the case.
