Garmin has started rolling out beta 28.03 to about 20% of Forerunner 165, 255, 265, 955 and 965 users, marking the first release in the new 28.xx testing cycle.
Version 28.03 adds a new option for distance-interval audio prompts, letting users hear completion time during those alerts.
The update also fixes bugs tied to race events, Garmin Run Coach, workout previews, display settings changed in Garmin Connect Mobile, and some activities failing to upload to Garmin Connect.
Forerunner 255, 265, 955 and 965 models get a Schwinn pairing fix, while the 955 and 965 also get a patch for crashes when saving activities that used course navigation.
Users can install the beta manually through Settings > System > Software Update > Check For Updates after Garmin wrapped up the prior 27.xx beta cycle earlier this year.
