$99.99 a month now buys Google’s new AI Ultra 5x plan with 20TB of storage, YouTube Premium and five times AI Pro usage limits, while the top Ultra 20x tier costs $199.99 after a cut from $250.
$19.99 AI Pro keeps 5TB of storage and expanded Gemini access, but now adds YouTube Premium Lite as Google reshapes subscriptions to offer more value against Anthropic and OpenAI.
Google also changed Gemini usage accounting from simpler prompt caps to a credit system based on prompt complexity, features used and chat length; one Reddit user said a single prompt consumed 13% of a monthly AI Pro quota.
The pricier tiers add new agentic tools including Antigravity features and Gemini Spark, a 24/7 assistant Google says will enter beta for U.S. subscribers next week.
The overhaul extends beyond AI plans, with Nest Aware renamed Google Home Premium Standard and Google Health Premium set to launch on May 26.
