Cole Turley, 18, had already pleaded guilty to murdering 16-year-old Kayden Moy on Irvine Beach on May 17, 2025, jurors at the High Court in Glasgow were told.
Prosecutors say Turley acted with Jay Stewart, 18, and a 15-year-old boy, who allegedly pursued Moy, knocked him to the ground and repeatedly stabbed him.
The two co-accused deny murder and claim incrimination by Turley; they also deny attempting to pervert justice between May 17 and 21 by cleaning a knife, hiding, changing clothes and concealing weapons.
The Crown alleges they fled to East Kilbride by taxi, covered their faces from cameras, washed off blood, hid knives in a bed frame and freezer, and asked for blood-stained clothing and a phone to be burned.
Stewart and the 15-year-old also face charges of threatening behavior, possessing knives and throwing rocks at the beach, with the trial before Lord Scott continuing.
