Seed Health Says DS-01 Improved Bloating in 350-Adult Trial

A randomized, placebo-controlled trial in 350 adults with bloating found Seed Health’s DS-01 Daily Synbiotic improved bloating, gas, regularity and overall digestive comfort versus placebo.
Some participants reported benefits within the first week, while the study also found users were less likely to avoid foods, enjoyed meals more and were able to be more physically active.
Seed says DS-01 combines 24 probiotic strains covering 30,000 microbial genes with prebiotics, and uses a capsule-in-capsule delivery system designed to help the microbes survive stomach acid and reach the colon.
The company framed the results as evidence that probiotic products should be judged on final-product clinical testing and formulation quality, not refrigeration or broad category claims alone.
A recent study found a leading probiotic was no better than a placebo. Are consumers just paying for hope in a capsule?
Science can now engineer gut microbes. Why do most commercial probiotics still fail basic scientific tests?
