Bianca Andreescu enters French Open qualifying this week after rebuilding on the ITF circuit, where the 25-year-old won W35 and W75 titles following years of injuries and stalled form.
That reset came after her ranking slid to 228 earlier this year; by playing 14 matches in 16 days, she said she tested both her game and body and came through without physical setbacks.
The former US Open champion had gone more than 2,300 days without a title, with her Bradenton W35 win worth about $3,000 versus the $3.9 million she earned for winning Flushing Meadows in 2019.
Now back up to No. 137, Andreescu needs three qualifying wins to reach the Roland Garros main draw as she tries to turn lower-tier success into a full WTA-level comeback.

Is a new mindset the real key to Bianca Andreescu's quest to reclaim her spot at the top?
