A 19-year-old man remained missing Monday night after he lost his footing on a boogie board about 200 yards off Ocean City and did not resurface, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
The Coast Guard was called to a water rescue around 5:05 p.m. and pulled one person from the water alive; that swimmer told officials he saw the teen disappear.
By 11 p.m., the Ocean City beach had been closed and blocked off as first responders continued searching offshore and along the beach.
