May 16 marked the victim’s death after he was shot in the head during a May 8 drive-by shooting in South Seattle and taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
Seattle police said the gunfire began near Martin Luther King Jr. Way South and South Henderson Street around 11:40 p.m., with the victim’s vehicle struck multiple times before the suspects fled by car.
Dozens of shell casings were recovered, two vehicles were impounded for processing, and no arrests have been made.
The case has now shifted from the Gun Violence Reduction Unit to homicide detectives as an open investigation, with police seeking tips at 206-233-5000.
