Four journalists and economists now make up the Financial Times' Monetary Policy Radar team, a new editorial unit focused on how central-bank decisions affect readers and investments.
Chris Giles leads the effort after 19 years as the FT's global economics editor, joined by former Lex commentator Andrew Whiffin, data lead Joel Suss and reporter Elettra Ardissino.
The lineup combines central-bank reporting, markets commentary and data analysis: Suss previously worked at the Bank of England, while Ardissino covered Europe as an economist at a hedge-fund advisory firm.
The FT said the team's sole focus is tracking monetary-policy changes and forecasting rate moves, signaling a dedicated product around global central-bank coverage.
