Kemp said she can already see two more seasons, with future storylines continuing to intertwine thief Coltrane Wilder, LAPD detective Isiah Stiles and their families.
The co-creator also framed the series as a bid to keep production in Los Angeles, highlighting Black L.A. neighborhoods on screen and saying the show brought local crew jobs back after fires disrupted the area.
