Google has begun responding to Pixel owners who say incoming calls no longer vibrate, with its Pixel Community account contacting users and some being directed to support or private chats.
Reddit reports across multiple Pixel models describe missed calls despite vibrate mode being enabled, and one Pixel 8 Pro user said a missed-call alert showed “Silent mode activated” with no rules turned on.
The most-cited fixes are enabling vibration under Phone app incoming-call notifications and resetting the Ring vibration slider by moving it off 100%, then back to about 75% or 80%.
A checklist one Redditor said Google emailed also suggests turning off Adaptive alert vibration, toggling Do Not Disturb and Bedtime Mode, and checking the ringtone is not set to None.
Google has not publicly confirmed a bug, and the workarounds are inconsistent—at least one user said they failed and Google then recommended a factory reset.
