SandboxAQ has integrated its physics-grounded scientific models into Anthropic’s Claude, letting researchers use drug-discovery and materials-science tools through natural-language prompts instead of specialized software setups.
The company says the main bottleneck is usability, not model quality: its large quantitative models run quantum chemistry, molecular dynamics and microkinetics to predict how candidate molecules may behave before lab work begins.
Previously, customers had to supply their own digital infrastructure to run those models; SandboxAQ’s users are typically computational and experimental scientists at large pharmaceutical and industrial companies.
