Phase III opened with Aaron Rodgers back on the field for Pittsburgh on Monday, resuming work with the first-team offense after rejoining the Steelers.
Troy Fautanu said many teammates learned of the quarterback move on Instagram, but added the offense quickly settled back into Rodgers’ cadence after hearing Will Howard and Mason Rudolph in recent weeks.
Fautanu, now working at left tackle after playing right side in 2025, called Rodgers the team’s leader and said practice felt like “we never left” once the veteran took his first snap.
Rodgers, 42, returns after a 2025 season in which he completed 65.7% of his passes for 3,322 yards with 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
