Reform UK leader Nigel Farage is under renewed scrutiny after company accounts appeared to show his I'm A Celebrity income remained in Thorn In The Side Limited after he bought a £1.4 million Surrey home in 2024.
Reform had told the BBC he bought the house without a mortgage using his TV-show fee, but Farage told the Financial Times in 2025 that the fee had been paid to his company.
The party denies any of the £5 million gift Farage received from crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne in April 2024 was used for the purchase 36 days later.
Farage's spokesperson said anti-money-laundering checks for the property were completed in March 2024, before the gift arrived, and said he had multiple income sources listed in his parliamentary register.
Labour chair Anna Turley said Farage must provide evidence over the undeclared £5 million gift, widening political pressure over his personal finances and disclosures.
If his TV fee stayed in his company, what money bought Farage's £1.4 million mortgage-free home?
