Sixty registered sex offenders were arrested in the Greater Baton Rouge area after investigators found violations of Louisiana registration laws and unlawful online activity in Operation Restricted Domain.
The two-month operation was led by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation and drew on secure law-enforcement databases, with parish sheriffs, state police, Homeland Security Investigations and local prosecutors coordinating the sweep.
Investigations are still active, and officials said additional charges are expected as district attorneys across the region prepare to handle most prosecutions.
Nearly 27,000 cyber tips have already reached Louisiana through May 10, versus more than 31,000 in all of 2025, as the state's ICAC task force has grown from 8 to more than 80 partner agencies since January 2024.
This year, the ICAC task force and Cyber Crime Unit have made 292 arrests, identified 36 child victims and rescued 32 children, which Murrill cited as evidence of a broader, continuing crackdown.
