Early leaks suggest Samsung’s Galaxy S27 Ultra may deliver only two standout changes over the S26 Ultra: a bigger battery and upgraded cameras, pointing to a refinement cycle rather than a major overhaul.
Battery capacity is rumored to rise from 5,000mAh to around 5,500-5,600mAh, while new camera sensors could improve low-light shots, image sharpness and video stabilization.
Other rumored changes include a thinner, lighter design, possible magnetic accessory support, a redesigned rear camera housing and charging that could move beyond the S26 Ultra’s 60W level.
The flagship is also tipped to carry a 6.9-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro in some markets, up to 24GB RAM and a starting price near $1,299.
With a January or February 2027 launch expected, the leaks suggest Samsung must persuade buyers that incremental gains are enough when the S26 Ultra already offers a strong 6.8-inch display, 5,000mAh battery and premium camera system.
