BrainChip added three software partners—MulticoreWare, P-Product and BeEmotion.ai—to support machine-learning model development for its new Akida AKD1500 edge AI processor.
The company said the expanded ecosystem is meant to make ultra-low-power AI more accessible to developers by improving software support around the chip.
MulticoreWare will build edge-optimized models for efficient execution across AI workloads, while P-Product will help port custom AI and machine-learning models onto Akida platforms in AP- and MCU-based products.
BeEmotion.ai is focused on combining models into edge AI use cases that exploit the AKD1500's low-power neuromorphic architecture, broadening the processor's application base.
With its new chip nearing mass production, can BrainChip's ecosystem challenge the established edge AI giants?
Will these partnerships solve the biggest obstacle holding back brain-inspired AI chips from mainstream adoption?
