LinkedIn said posts and comments it flags as AI-generated or generic will be removed from recommendation feeds, though they will still remain visible to followers and direct connections.
The crackdown targets engagement bait, recycled “thought leadership” and formulaic AI phrasing, using signals developed by engineers and LinkedIn’s editorial team to distinguish original insight from repeated ideas.
LinkedIn is drawing a line between low-value automation and acceptable AI assistance, saying AI-assisted posts can still circulate if they add original ideas or spark meaningful conversation.
The Microsoft-owned platform, which also offers AI writing tools such as a “rewrite with AI” button, said early results are encouraging and expects further declines in such content in coming weeks and months.
