DigiTimes says Apple is preparing a fully redesigned Watch Ultra 4 for fall 2026 with a new high-blood-pressure notification feature now under FDA review.
The alert would use the watch’s optical heart-rate sensor to track how blood vessels respond to each heartbeat and flag abnormal patterns, appearing to refine hardware Apple already uses for hypertension notifications.
Supply-chain expectations have strengthened from last year’s redesign report, with observers now describing a full overhaul and major sensing upgrade that could include a ring of eight rear sensors.
Market watchers cited by the report say the redesign could lift Apple Watch shipments 20% to 30% versus 2025, while exclusive sensor supplier TASC could see large-volume orders starting in July.
Apple is expected to unveil the Ultra 4 alongside the Watch Series 12 and iPhone 18 lineup in fall 2026, with noninvasive glucose monitoring still a later goal pending approvals.
