Spencer Pratt, 42, lashed out on X after Variety’s Marlow Stern mocked his pledge to leave Los Angeles if he loses the Nov. 3 mayoral race, noting Pratt already lives in Santa Barbara.
Pratt said the criticism ignored that the Palisades Fire destroyed his home, forcing him, his wife and their two children into temporary housing and making rebuilding impossible.
The exchange revived scrutiny of Pratt’s living arrangements after he claimed in a campaign video filmed beside an Airstream on his burned lot, “This is where I live.”
TMZ had reported Pratt was staying at Hotel Bel-Air — where rooms can run about $2,000 a night — while Heidi Montag and their children were in Santa Barbara.
The flare-up adds to a Trump-style mayoral campaign centered on attacks over Karen Bass’s fire response, with Pratt also targeting Democratic rival Nithya Raman.
