Gemini 3.5 Flash debuted this week as Google’s new AI model, positioned for autonomous agents that can handle tasks such as planning projects and writing code.
Google said the model is significantly stronger at programming than earlier versions, more than twice as fast as Gemini 3.1 Pro and four times as fast as rivals Claude Opus 4.7 and GPT-5.5.
