May 19 marked Forza Horizon 6’s worldwide release on Xbox Game Pass, opening the Standard Edition to all players after several days of paid early access.
Series 1, titled “Welcome to Japan,” runs from May 21 to June 18 and adds 10 reward cars through the Festival Playlist, including the Mazda Furai, Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec and Toyota Corolla SR5.
Playground also introduced Series History Rewards, a new system that unlocks exclusive cars based on players’ lifetime Playlist Points across the game’s seasonal events.
Premium content is rolling out alongside the free updates: the Time Attack Car Pack is already on sale, while Car Pass will deliver weekly cars for 30 weeks, starting with 4 vehicles in the first month.
The launch follows a record start for the franchise, with earlier reports estimating $140 million in pre-launch sales and 273,000 peak concurrent players on Steam.
