ILĀ has released “Recurse,” billed as the first song made with generative AI and quantum computing using only the artist’s own material as training data.
Moth built the track with its Archaeo software running on an IQM quantum computer, aiming to avoid the copyright criticism tied to models trained on broad internet datasets.
ILĀ said the system learned from musical sequences the artist created first, then recombined them rather than generating a song entirely from scratch.
