Schiphol Closes Runway 18C/36C for 7 Days as May 18-27 Maintenance Starts

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol began routine maintenance on Runway 18C/36C, closing the Zwanenburgbaan on May 18-22 and again on May 26-27.
The runway will briefly reopen on May 23-25 while crews carry out annual work including asphalt and marking repairs.
Schiphol said teams will also inspect electrical systems and cabling, flush stormwater drainage, mow surrounding grass and clean or replace lights.
The closure is part of regular airfield upkeep rather than an emergency repair, aimed at keeping one of the airport's runways operational and compliant.
