Kalshi, Polymarket Keep Serving India as Ministry Flags Platforms as Illegal

Indian users can still sign up and trade on Kalshi and Polymarket even after New Delhi warned the prediction-market platforms are banned.
An advisory posted last month by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said users were accessing “illegal and blocked” prediction-market and online betting sites despite domestic prohibitions.
The ministry specifically named Polymarket and said internet providers were supposed to cut off access to it and similar platforms.
The standoff highlights the difficulty India faces enforcing online betting restrictions when offshore platforms continue operating for local customers.
