$499 T1 phones have started reaching select media outlets after months of delay, easing vaporware fears around Trump Mobile's long-promised handset.
Hands-on videos show the device is essentially an HTC U24 Pro from 2024 with a gold casing, an altered rear flash module and an 11-stripe American flag on the back.
NBC News confirmed 512GB of storage, a pre-installed Truth Social app and packaging that now says "Proudly Assembled in the USA" instead of the earlier "Made in USA" claim.
Trump Mobile did not answer questions about domestic-parts content or the 11-stripe design, and the White House declined to say whether President Trump uses the phone.
The shipment follows roughly nine months of delays, shifting renders and softened manufacturing claims that had fueled backlash from preorder customers who paid $100 deposits.

With $59 million in deposits, does the T1 phone's launch reveal a new playbook for brand-first technology?
