KKR Hires Morgan Stanley's Shuto to Lead Japan Capital Markets, Expanding Insurance Push

Masahiro Shuto joined KKR earlier this month as managing director and head of its Japan capital markets business, according to an internal memo.
Shuto previously served as president of Morgan Stanley Investment Management's Japan arm and will lead KKR's institutional fundraising in the country.
KKR said the hire will also help expand its Japan insurance business while deepening work with strategic clients, underscoring a broader push in the market.
