Megan Moroney said hours before the May 17 ACM Awards that she would miss the Las Vegas show because she is out of the country serving as maid of honor in her best friend’s wedding.
Nine nominations still make Moroney the most-nominated artist at the 2026 ACMs, including her first Entertainer of the Year nod, even though she told fans she would be cheering friends on from afar.
Three of those nine chances were already gone before the telecast after early category announcements, leaving six awards still in play for Moroney during the ceremony at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
The absence underscores a rare awards-night no-show by a top contender at a ceremony hosted by Shania Twain, with Moroney instead pointing fans to her next Cloud 9 Tour stop in Columbus on May 29.
