Angel Reese shot 1-for-8 and committed 8 turnovers in her Atlanta home debut Sunday, finishing with 8 rebounds and a minus-13 rating in an 85-84 loss to the Las Vegas Aces.
Karl Smesko effectively benched Reese with the Dream down by double digits, and Atlanta nearly erased the deficit after she went to the bench.
State Farm Arena was sold out for Reese's first home game, but she missed 6 layups and even lost a shoe during one of the miscues.
Through 3 games with Atlanta, Reese is 9-for-27 from the field with 16 turnovers, 11 fouls and a team-worst minus-15, despite 38 rebounds and 5 blocks.
The uneven start follows Reese's offseason move from Chicago to Atlanta; the Dream remain home this week and host Dallas again on Friday.
