Austin police released a timeline showing 12 shootings over 28 hours across the city, ending Sunday with the arrests of Cristian Fajardo Mondragon, 17, and two other juvenile suspects.
Four people were injured, including one victim with life-threatening wounds, while gunfire also hit apartment buildings, pedestrians and two fire stations with firefighters inside.
Police said the spree began after a stolen firearm report Saturday morning and unfolded through a string of shootings and vehicle thefts, with five vehicles ultimately tied to the suspects.
Manor police spotted a white Kia sedan linked to the attacks Sunday afternoon, triggering a pursuit before the three suspects fled on foot and were captured after a brief search.
Investigators said the incidents appeared to be a mix of random and targeted shootings, and expected charges include aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, vehicle theft, evading arrest and firearm theft.
