Ross Park Mall in Pittsburgh will host Disney Store Limited Time’s first location on May 23, marking Disney’s return to in-person mall retail through a temporary format.
Go! Retail Group is partnering on the concept, which Disney is using to test smaller-scale physical stores and gauge demand for a broader retail comeback.
A second store is planned for Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, New Jersey, this fall, and USA Today reported both sites are expected to stay open until after the 2026 holiday season.
Disney said the shops will carry Disney, Marvel and Star Wars merchandise and revive familiar store elements such as opening ceremonies and themed interiors.
The trial follows a steep retreat from brick-and-mortar retail: Disney had more than 700 stores globally at its 1999 peak but now operates only a handful in the U.S.
