Merseyrail secured accredited status under the Liverpool City Region Fair Employment Charter, joining a small group of organisations to reach the standard so far.
More than 40 pieces of evidence — including policies, case studies and business examples — were reviewed by an independent panel across four areas: Fair, Just, Inclusive and Healthy.
The panel assessed how workplace commitments are being applied in practice and what difference they make for staff, rather than judging written policies alone.
