Verizon expanded incentives across its myPlan and myHome programs after raising its Unlimited Ultimate plan by $5 on May 7, a move that triggered subscriber complaints.
The new offers include loyalty rewards, device upgrade deals and a waived $40 activation fee—returned as a bill credit—for customers adding a line or bringing their own device on eligible unlimited plans.
Online customers who buy a new smartphone and add a new line can also get a $100 Verizon e-Gift card, but they must file a redemption claim within 60 days and wait up to eight weeks for delivery.
Unlimited Ultimate subscribers are also being offered Identity Secure and Verizon Family Plus, which Verizon says add $15 in monthly value for the extra $5 charge.
The sweeteners come as Verizon has changed tariffs repeatedly and lost more than 2.25 million customers over the past three years while pushing for higher revenue per line.
