  • Three men were killed and three other people were injured after a 17-year-old driver allegedly sped into pedestrians near 85th Avenue and International Boulevard around 11:15 p.m. Saturday.
  • Police said the teen was driving a pickup truck at more than 50 mph in a 25 mph zone, lost control while attempting a U-turn, struck parked cars and then hit the group outside East Bay Market & Liquor.
  • The suspect was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run after witnesses detained him when he allegedly tried to flee; the case has been sent to the Alameda County District Attorney for possible charges.
