Pintauro, 50, said his "Who’s the Boss?" residuals can be just 5 to 6 cents per episode, undercutting the idea that recognizable child stars are set for life.
The former sitcom actor said he now takes Amazon Flex shifts in Los Angeles while auditioning, after returning to acting and moving from Austin to L.A. in 2022.
His April selfie as a delivery driver went viral after he posted it to show the practical reality of chasing acting work, not to signal a fall from fame.
Pintauro said older TV contracts offered weak residual terms and today’s market is tougher still, with fewer projects, more overseas production and streaming replacing the sitcom model he grew up in.
