Newly released interrogation footage shows Mia Bailey calmly telling Utah investigators, “I don’t regret it. I hate them,” after admitting to fatally shooting both parents in their Washington City home in June 2024.
Bailey said the killings followed a dispute over gender-transition surgery, accusing mother Gail Bailey of trying to “sabotage” the procedure and also citing mental-health struggles during questioning.
Court records say Bailey fired multiple rounds at Gail and Joseph Bailey and also shot through a door at a brother, who escaped and called for help.
The video surfaced nearly 2 years after the murders; Bailey had already pleaded guilty and mentally ill, and in December received two consecutive 25-years-to-life sentences for aggravated murder and aggravated assault.
