Trump said he would consider withdrawing his backing for Rep. Lauren Boebert and support a challenger after she campaigned with Rep. Thomas Massie, one of his sharpest Republican critics.
Saturday’s threat came as Trump again targeted Massie on Truth Social, calling him disloyal and renewing his endorsement of retired Navy SEAL Ed Gallrein in Kentucky’s May 19 GOP primary.
Boebert said she knew the risks of standing with Massie and was not offended, while Massie said it was too late to challenge her because Colorado’s filing deadline had already passed.
The clash widens Trump’s effort to unseat Massie, who has criticized him on foreign policy and pushed for release of government files tied to Jeffrey Epstein.
