Theodore and Charlotte ranked as Minnesota’s most popular baby names for 2025 in new Social Security Administration data released Friday.
Theodore led boys’ names ahead of Henry, Oliver, Liam and Noah, while Charlotte topped girls’ names followed by Evelyn, Violet, Eleanor and Nora.
Liam fell from Minnesota’s No. 1 boys’ name in 2024 to fourth in 2025, while Charlotte kept the girls’ top spot for a fifth straight year.
Nationally, Liam and Olivia led the 2025 lists, with Minnesota’s rankings still overlapping heavily with both U.S. data and Allina Health’s statewide naming trends.
