17 seconds into the main event, Ronda Rousey tapped Gina Carano with an armbar at Jake Paul’s first MVP MMA card in Inglewood, California.
The win capped Rousey’s first fight since her December 2016 knockout loss, while Carano made her first cage appearance in nearly 17 years.
Francis Ngannou also marked a comeback, stopping Philipe Lins by first-round knockout after nearly two years away from MMA.
The card leaned heavily on returning stars: Mike Perry beat Nate Diaz by second-round doctor’s stoppage after opening a cut, with Diaz fighting MMA for the first time since September 2022.
MVP MMA 1 used those comeback bouts to launch Most Valuable Promotions’ new MMA brand at the Intuit Dome.
