Tom Francis, 26, has auditioned for James Bond, adding the Olivier-winning stage actor to an ongoing casting process overseen by Nina Gold.
Francis is best known for “Sunset Boulevard” opposite Nicole Scherzinger and has a much thinner screen résumé, with a small role in George Clooney’s “Jay Kelly” and a TV debut in Netflix’s “You.”
Amazon MGM Studios, which produces and finances the franchise, declined comment, and the wider search remains active rather than narrowed to a confirmed front-runner.
Rumored names in the mix have included Jacob Elordi, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Callum Turner, while Cosmo Jarvis’s representative said he is not auditioning and is not in contention.
