SkaiTV halted “Survivor Greece” after contestant Starvos Floros, 21, was partially amputated below the knee in a May 10 spearfishing accident during a break from filming in the Dominican Republic.
AcunMedya said a tourist boat struck Floros outside the competitive process, with an engine propeller severing part of his left leg and badly injuring his right ankle.
Floros remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition, and SkaiTV said it will support his medical treatment and rehabilitation.
Local authorities are investigating the incident, and the suspension will remain in place while that inquiry continues.
