Aline Pereira opened the women’s action on the Rousey-Carano undercard with a split-decision win over Jade Masson-Wong at 130 pounds.
Two judges scored it 29-28 for Pereira, while one had it 30-27 for Masson-Wong, reflecting a closely contested three-round fight.
Masson-Wong mixed her attack better late and appeared to pressure Pereira down the stretch, but Pereira’s early right-hand success helped carry the verdict.
The bout was part of the preliminary card at Inglewood’s Intuit Dome before the Netflix main card headlined by Ronda Rousey’s return against Gina Carano.
