Code strings in One UI 9 suggest Samsung is building Now Brief prompts that surface important missed notifications overnight, in the morning and before bed.
The feature has not appeared live in testing; tipster AssembleDebug inferred it from early code and said Samsung may steer users into opening the full Now Brief instead of relying on widgets.
One UI 9’s first beta began in May for Galaxy S26 users, with early visible changes focused on Samsung Notes customization and a reworked Quick Panel with separate brightness, sound and media sliders.
Now Brief has already been expanding beyond phones: a recent SmartThings update added support for TVs, smart locks, appliances and Family Care, broadening Samsung’s push to make it a daily summary hub.
