Three people were arrested for criminal trespass after Austin police broke up a crowd at The Domain Swatch store Saturday morning and cleared the scene by about 8 a.m.
APD said people began lining up around 4 a.m. for the 10 a.m. opening, then started arguing and fighting; officers gave multiple orders to leave before making arrests.
Swatch later said its Domain store and eight other U.S. locations would close for the day over public safety concerns after the Bioceramic Royal Pop Collection drew unusually heavy demand.
The company said the Royal Pop collection is not a limited edition, signaling more supply even as the launch triggered disruptions at several stores nationwide.
