Several hundred people gathered at King of Prussia Mall around 4 a.m. Saturday for a new Swatch release, and some broke down doors trying to enter before opening.
About 100 officers were sent after police said the crowd kept growing and ignored orders to move back from the closed mall.
Police dispersed the main group, blocked additional entry points and said one person was arrested on defiant trespassing and related charges; no injuries were reported.
The mall plans to reopen at noon, but Swatch will stay closed Saturday as police keep extra resources in the area to prevent more damage or violence.
