Kimera’s new K-39 is its first ground-up model rather than a Lancia-based restomod, shifting the brand from rally-inspired tributes toward a World Endurance Championship-style machine.
A 5.0-liter twin-turbo Koenigsegg V8 delivers 1,000 hp and 885 lb-ft, reworked with smaller, lighter turbos for faster response and backed by over-the-air software updates and cloud monitoring.
Just 38 cars will be built, and Kimera said more than 20 were sold before the debut; the first 10 buyers will get an even rarer Pikes Peak-spec version.
Dallara contributed chassis expertise, while Kimera plans to campaign and display the K-39 at Pikes Peak, Spa, Le Mans Classic, Goodwood and other events as Koenigsegg expands supply of this V8 for similar projects.
