Saturday’s Laurel Park Pick 5 starts with the James W. Murphy Stakes at 3:30 p.m. ET and runs through the Preakness Stakes, with SportsLine’s Gene Menez releasing his full ticket construction.
Cruise the Nile is Menez’s key single in the Dinner Party Stakes, the sequence’s second leg, with Menez saying the 9-5 favorite has a pace edge and can handle the class rise.
Menez also identified a double-digit longshot in another leg, saying the horse should get a “dream trip” and could boost payouts if included on Pick 5 tickets.
The picks lean on a strong recent record: Menez hit a $4,648 late Pick 5 at Gulfstream earlier this year and posted several major scores on Kentucky Oaks, the Derby and Breeders’ Cup cards.
