Alison Sweeney said she has “no regrets” about leaving Los Angeles for Arizona, saying the move gave her family a calmer environment and sharply reduced the stress she felt in the city’s “rat race.”
Arizona’s slower pace let the 49-year-old work from home more often instead of commuting daily to studios, while she and her husband focused on school events, travel and a more laid-back routine.
Her comments came as Hallmark prepares to air “Best Served Cold: A Hannah Swensen Mystery” on May 16 — the 14th film in the franchise, which Sweeney wrote and executive produced.
Sweeney said she has written the last four Hannah Swensen movies and sees the series’ appeal in upbeat, rewatchable stories; earlier Hallmark titles including “Romance at Hope Ranch” and “Sugar & Vice” ranked No. 1 in key cable slots.
