Spotify said Drake became its most-streamed artist of 2026 in a single day on May 15, while Iceman and “Make Them Cry” set the platform’s single-day album and song records for the year.
The surge followed Drake’s first solo release since 2023: three albums dropped Friday — Iceman, Maid of Honour and Habibti — with “Make Them Cry” opening Iceman.
Iceman displaced BTS’ ARIRANG, which had held Spotify’s 2026 single-day album streaming mark since March.
The release also sparked a BTS crossover moment: V posted an Instagram Stories clip of himself and J-Hope reacting to Drake’s lyric, “I’m feeling like BTS,” from the record-setting track.
